The Uniformity of a book collection is a beautiful thing....

Yesterday I completed my collection of the Jane Austen novels from the Barnes & Noble Classics series. Three years ago, they began publishing the hardbacks, and included were Pride & Prejudice, Emma, Sense & Sensibility, Persuasion, and Mansfield Park. They discontinued the hardbacks last year (I suspect because there were too many typos, (as I found a few in the books I read), and hence, I had an incomplete JA series. Yesterday I went to B&N and noticed a brand new selection of the hardbacks including the original titles as well as new ones. I was very excited to see they had published Northanger Abbey, and though there were three or four more titles I wanted to purchase I settled for only that one. And now my bookshelf feels much more prestigious, having a "complete" set of Jane Austens! (minus the much less known Lady Susan)

Neither of the computers (well actually, there are usually four) at my house will let me get on blogspot domains, so I have been handicapped to the umphest degree in regards to posting. And when I am at school, I more than likely, shouldn't be spending my time doing this. I guess I shouldn't be doing this either. oh well.

The ballad of Moses Phillipe Montgomery Druit Down

that was actually pretty fun, I think I shall compose another.

There once was a boy who looked very sad.
He sat on a stump, sure did that young lad.
Before him were fields of very green grass,
And almost unseen a beautiful lass.

This lass donned blonde hair,
though she'd say "that's not fair,"
For you know the story,
A Blonde's dumb as Dory.

But despite that tale horrid
She remained free from morbid
And continued to think upon things like red roses,
As red as the sea that was parted by Moses.

Coincidence 'twas not that the boy's own name
Was so very close, in fact 'twas the same
His mother, Jo Le, had decided upon it:
Moses Phillipe Montgomery Druit.

Young Moses was sad because of this fact,
He wanted to alter his name to Joe Mack,
To honor his mom who was, oh, quite the clown,
And for his pop, called Smithy Mack Down.

NEWS FLASH: 2 + 2 may not equal 4

What is the thing with me about posting? The thing that sings to the tune of something like "I don't post near as much as I used to, and they ones I do post are probably not as interesting." That may be sung to the tune of whatever you like, because I didn't think of anything before hand.

Life is so interesting. You know what quote that goes through my head all the time? well, don't look far, you have to look only in the next sentence and you will discover that very phrase of which I speak... All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players.

God has his own comedy show down here on earth, 24/7 , and he doesn't even have to play stage manager. We just make it all up as we go along, and no doubt provide him countless hours of fun and humor. I do not mean to make light of God nor his creation, I mean only to highlight the often silly and ignoramus ways in which we handle situations in life. Maybe you don't handle your situations in such ways, and if that is the case, then yay for you, but many out there do and I am not to be excluded from that list.

I think I shall end this post. the end.
