Memphis Grizzlies Nab Warrick at 16

In the NBA Draft tonight, the Grizzlies snatched up Harrim Warrick out of Syracuse at the 16th draft pick. Here is what ESPN writer Chad Ford had to say about it...

A really good pick for Memphis here. They are going to lose Stromile Swift to free agency this summer and Warrick should be able to come in and replace Swift. Sort of. He can't play center like Swift, nor is he a shot blocker. But he's just as athletic and plays much, much harder than Swift does. I'm not sure what position he plays or defends, but he's a hard worker who got better every year in school. He's not the answer to all of Memphis' problems, but it's a start.

As the Grizzlies begin the restructuring of the team this summer, it will be interesting to see what General manager Jerry West has up his sleeve. GO GRIZZLIES!

Precious Memories

Since June 11, I have been home for a total of 3 days. And what have a paid for it? A good excuse to spend all day today reading and being laz- um, quietly inactive.

For every moment I am not on the Hill, I long for the day that I once more can be. Those 8 days, from Saturday to a week past, are simply and inarguably of the best in the year. Unless you have been there - experienced the bonds of love through faith, music, and fellowship, you cannot know this refreshment, which I cannot accurately desribe.

God has blessed Harmony Hill to the greater degree for over 50 years. He has provided selfless individuals that love the children of God and have therefore been willing to work behind the scenes to provide the one-of-a-kind experience that it is. God has provided the Hill with the teachers necessary for the development of the classes, and the children to be developed.

I rue the day when I will not be able to visit the Hill on the 2nd full week of June. But until that day comes, if it comes, I will be faithful to fill in my spot at Harmony Hill, in the corner of the Boy's bathroom, in the sagging chair within Dalton Hall, commanding the colours to be lowered, singing taps at 10:00, making memories to last a lifetime.

A Trip To Perg...

My abs are still in pain from laughing so hard Monday morning at about 4:30. A group of us went up to Lexington Kentucky for Lauren Bradley's graduation (party). Sunday night some of us stayed up - lets just say we were up until our eyes were looking like those of Darth Maul's. Lacey said something super sillious and we all broke out laughing. I was hurting so bad I started yelping in pain. So that was fun.
